2009 DVG America Nationals Hosted By: | |||||

Greetings DVG Members,
On behalf of the Colorado Canine Club I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2009 DVG nationals. Our club members have been working diligently to ensure a safe, fun and successful event for all spectators and participating teams. Colorado is a beautiful State to host the nationals, with its central location, perfect weather and abundance of exciting outdoor activities to do and things to see while you are here. From mountain hiking and horse back riding, to sight seeing, gaming and ghost town exploring, I’m certain your experience outside the event will be just as exhilarating as the time you spend on the field competing.
This year’s obedience and protection events will be hosted in a “State of the Art” stadium as a night trial. With the nighttime Colorado temperatures in June typically hovering around the mid 70’s to low 80’s at sundown, and zero humidity to contend with, I believe the conditions will be perfect for all dog/handler teams to show their best performances.
Tracking will be on fresh plowed dirt as the Colorado farmers will be plowing their fields in anticipation of their winter wheat planting. Although the absence of humidity sometimes conditions the soil in Colorado a little dry, we are attempting to have the fields plowed in close proximity to the event in order to provide a first class tracking experience for everyone.
To those of you I already know let me say I look forward to seeing you at the event, To those of you that I have not had the opportunity to meet yet, let me say I look forward to making a new friend in June.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the event please feel free to contact me or any member of the Colorado Canine Club.
I wish the best of luck to each of you, and I hope to see you in June.
Yours in Sport, | ||||
